About Me

Reflexology  in Wimborne

I was first introduced to reflexology over 30 years ago, but my passion for it developed during both of my pregnancies when I felt I needed to relax while working full time in the Healthcare Industry. I found the treatments so beneficial and relaxing and had the added bonus of very easy labours with little or no pain relief. I put this down to the positive effects of reflexology on my body.

For me, I found it was time to retrain in something that I truly believe in and I’ve never looked back. I’ve seen first-hand the impact of stress and how taking time for yourself to relax can have a such a positive impact on your life. Reflexology can provide you with that opportunity.

About Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic treatment based on the principle of applying gentle pressure to the reflex points on the feet or hands in order to keep the body in balance and to help activate the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

Reflexologists believe the feet mirror the body and that organs, systems and glands of the body are mapped onto areas of the feet called reflexes. Reflexology stimulates the reflex point to bring about a response in the corresponding part of the body.

Reflexology is renowned for stimulating the nervous system, increasing blood circulation and supporting the lymphatic system to flow.

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing therapy, suitable for all ages, that may help to bring relief to a variety of health problems. Regular treatments are encouraged to enhance your overall wellbeing.
